One of the oldest Hotties, the 1869 Round Oak places an emphasis on its cast-iron elements, with nickel only being found on its skirt and finial. This doesn’t detract from the complex detail of this antique stove, in fact, the cast-iron pieces of this stove are some of the most intricate on any of our Hotties.

Backstory
In the year 1869, within the heart of a Dowagiac rowhouse, stood Marie, a Round Oak stove with iron bones and a polished nickel gleam. She was no mere fixture of warmth but a guardian of resilience, mirroring a model that had once graced the hearths of determined households across the nation. More than metal and fuel, she was a quiet heirloom of ideals—a relic of self-determination, of dignity forged and preserved.
The family who tended her, their minds newly kindled by the ideas of freedom and progress, gathered close on winter nights, the lamplight flickering as they read aloud from cherished memoirs and speeches. As Marie’s fire crackled, so too did the spirit of those who had defied the odds, reshaping their destinies in a country still defining itself. Years passed, the city shifted around them—new streets, new faces, new voices—but Marie endured, standing as a steadfast keeper of history, her warmth a silent chorus to hope’s ever-burning flame.
